This was a good competitive match. R.E.M.E. were ahead twice in the first half, but R.L.C. pegged them back both times to go in 2-2 at the break. Two minutes into the second half both teams had a man sent off for fighting and it was R.E.M.E. that adapted better with the ten men. Within five minutes they were back in front and this time there was no comeback. It was 2-4 just after the hour mark and very few chances were created for the remainder of the game.

This was my second visit to Tilsley Park, as I had been here previously to watch rugby league. On 5th March 2017 I saw Oxford beat Hemel Stags 40-12 in Division 1 of the Rugby Football League.
